"Marine vests" will never go out of fashion. A few stylish details - and you will transform the "working" model! A collar, a yoke, epaulettes, a lace gap - these are just a few examples of this decor

Round Shawl Collar
A vest with a hand-embroidered baby collar has become sexy and stylish ...
YOU NEED: striped blouse (vest), x. used fabric size. OK. 35 x 50 cm. Non-woven G 785. Silk paper. Threads for sewing. Embroidery threads (floss) of red color. Needle for embroidery with a sharp cone.
HOW TO MAKE: make a collar pattern: mark the front and back lines at the front and back of the blouse. Paste tissue paper on one half of the blouseon (this is best done on a mannequin). Draw a cut line from the middle of the front to the middle of the back, then draw the desired shape of the collar. Remove the tissue paper and cut out the pattern.
Cut out 4 details of the collar with allowances of 1 cm. 2 symmetrical parts reinforced with non-woven fabric. Start one reinforced and one non-reinforced non-woven part face to face, leave an opening for approx. 5 cm. Cut allowances close to the seam. Release and iron collar parts.
Sew the hole in the seam manually. On the outer edges of the mouline thread in 3 additions, embroider “forward needle” stitches (each stitch is 5 mm long).
Push the details of the collar onto the blouse, sew the inner edges manually to the neck of the blouse.

Laces
Ready-made lace, or knitted manually, decorating the neckline, the lower edges of the blouse and sleeves, will instantly transfer the model to another category ...
YOU NEED: striped blouse (vest), lace braid with scallops on one edge, 6 cm wide. Length = length of the lower edge of the blouse and lower edges of the sleeves + 10 cm. Lace braid with scallops on one edge, 2 cm wide, length = neckline circumference + 3 cm. Sewing threads, tailor's magic crayon.
HOW TO MAKE: At the narrow ends of the lace braid to cut the neck, grind the ends so that their length is equal to the circumference of the neck. Lay allowances in one direction, cut to a width of 5 mm and stitch with a zigzag.
Pin the lace braid under the edges of the neck so that the scallops peek out approximately 1 cm wide. The seam is aligned with the shoulder seam. Cut the neckline to the edge.
Stitch wide braids under the edges of the lower edge and lower edges of the sleeves, having previously sewed them in the same way as a braid for neckline cutting. Pin the braid on the sleeves so that the scallops peek out about 2.5 cm wide. At the bottom edge, the scallops peek out about 5 cm wide.
Stitch the upper edges of the tape to the edge.

White coquette and black epaulets
A white coquette with geometric stitch embroidery and black shoulder straps fastened with white buttons emphasize the contrast of black and white and add romance to the marine vest ...
YOU NEED: striped blouse (vest), cambric with geometric stitch embroidery size. 25 x 50 cm, twill tape 3 cm wide, 35 cm long, 2 buttons. Tissue paper, sewing thread, magic tailor's chalk.
HOW TO MAKE: mark the bottom line of the coquette on the blouseon with magic chalk (along the line of the middle of the front about 12 cm below the neckline).
Iron a long cut (50 cm) on the batiste on the wrong side, 1 cm wide.Face-to-face with a cambric, pin on the front of the blueson so that the ironed edge of the cambric lies on the yoke line. Transfer the lines of armholes, shoulder seams and neckline (using magic crayon) to the cambric.
Remove the cambric from the front of the blouseon, cut along the armholes and shoulder seams with allowances for 1 cm seams, cut out at the neck without allowances. Iron allowances, as well as cut the neckline cut, by 1 cm to the wrong side, while repeatedly cutting into allowances.
Batiste inside out on a face pricked in front of a blueson, stitch the edges to the edge.
Carefully cut out 7 mm from the stitch line from the inside before the blouse.
For epaulettes, cut the twill tape into 2 identical parts. Fold half the width along one end of the tape, stitch the ends. Turn out. Lay sharp corners, iron and stitch.
Stitch the straight ends on the seams of the sleeve-in so that the shoulder strap is half on the yoke and half on the back, the sharp end of the shoulder strap is directed to the sleeve. Lay the epaulettes in the direction of the neckline, stitch again at a distance of 1 cm from the neck. Sew the shoulder straps on the shoulder strap on a button.
