A neatly made collar on a stand in the neck of a blouse or shirt is the face of the product. Consider the two easiest ways to tailor your collar.

In this master class, details are cut out of contrasting fabrics for greater clarity.

Method 1

Step 1

Stitch the shoulder seams, stitch the yoke, as well as the shirt strap.

According to the neck allowance, lay a stabilizing seam that prevents the neck from stretching during sewing.

Step 2

Prepare the collar and cut out the details of the stand-collar.

Duplicate the outer part of the stand collar.

Use a fabric marker or tailor's chalk to mark.

Unscrew the oversize of the inner part of the collar stand on the wrong side and iron it.

Step 3

Insert the collar between the details of the stand-up collar. Chip and grind parts.

Step 4

Cut the allowance to 5-7 mm.

Step 5

Unscrew the stand of the collar on the front side and iron it.

Step 6

Insert a stand of a collar in a mouth. Cut the neck allowance. Stitch the collar with the stand in the neck, while not grabbing the inside of the stand of the collar.

Step 7

Turn the collar up.

Iron the allowance inside the rack.

Pin the inside of the collar stand.

Stitch the stand part around the perimeter of the part. Iron the collar.

Method 2

Step 1

Perform a stabilizing seam along the neckline.

Duplicate the outer part of the stand collar.

Mark the collar stand parts.

Step 2

Pin the collar stand parts to the neck so that the neck allowance is between the collar stand parts. Slices of parts should coincide.

Step 3

Download details.

Step 4

Trim the allowance to 5-7 mm. Be extremely careful when cutting allowances at fillet points, around the edges of the collar.

Step 5

Unscrew the details of the collar stand up and iron.

Step 6

Pin the collar to the outer stand of the collar and stitch.

Step 7

Unscrew the open allowance of the inner part of the collar post inward and iron it.

Unscrew the collar up so that the collar allowance is inside the rack. Chop off.

Stitch the stand part along the perimeter of the part and iron the collar.
