For such a clutch, you can take the remnants of fabrics that are different in color and texture - the main thing is that they harmonize with each other.

Such a clutch bag is sewn simply and quickly. The main thing is to choose an interesting combination of fabrics for her. A combination of fabrics of not only different colors, but also different textures can be beautiful: for example, soft cotton (blue shawl), yellow flannel and thin brown velvet are selected here. The result is unusual!

Simple color block leather clutch: master class

Step 1

Decide on the size of the bag. Draw a pattern and mark it into pieces, which will be composed of different fabrics. For example, here the bottom of the bag is made of brown velvet, the back is made of yellow flannel, and the front is made of blue cotton. Details can be marked directly on the fabric - as convenient.

Add allowances and cut out the details.

Step 2

Sew the three parts of the bag into one fabric, iron the allowances away from the middle part and sew the seams to the edge.

Step 3

Fold the bag face in and make side seams.

Step 4

Make the side seams of the lining (since here the lining is sewn from flaps, its part is sewn in 3 parts, if your part is solid, just fold it in half face inward and sew it on the sides).

Step 5

Turn the outer part of the bag and put a lining in it.

Step 6

Tighten the upper edges of the outer part and the lining inward and iron. Open the zipper, put it between the outer part and the lining in the center of the bag and pin it with pins. Sew the zipper using the special foot. Sew the remaining left and right holes manually with a blind stitch. Done.
