Nestle celebrates 20th anniversary of the Zhukovsky ice cream factory

Production of Nestle in Zhukovsky turned 20 years old. In honor of the anniversary, the company invited representatives of federal and regional media to a press conference and conducted a tour of the ice cream factory.


In June 1996, Nestle in Russia and OAO Zhukovsky Refrigeration Plant established LLC Nestle Zhukovsky Ice Cream as a joint venture Nestle S. A. Switzerland and JSC "Zhukovsky refrigeration plant".
Today, the factory in Zhukovsky employs more than 450 people. The maximum possible production volume of the factory is about 50 million liters of ice cream per year. The factory produces products for sale in Russia and the CIS countries under the brands of 48 KOPEEK, BonPari, Extreme, Maxibon, Mega and others.
The Zhukovsky factory recently became part of the new Froneri company, which was created as a result of a global agreement between Nestle and R&R (the leading British ice cream producer) in April 2016. The new company has far-reaching plans in Russia with the aim of further developing a dynamically developing category of ice cream, based on the mutually complementary competitive advantages and innovative technological developments of the two companies.Consumers in Russia and the CIS, as before, will have access to their favorite high-quality ice cream.
The following persons took part in the press conference on the occasion of the anniversary of the factory in Zhukovsky: Andrey Bader, Member of the Board, Director of Corporate Affairs, Nestlé in Russia and Eurasia; Galina Bogdanovich, Ice Cream Business Director; Aigul Badrtdinova, Director of the Nestle ice cream factory in Zhukovsky. The city administration attended the event Leonid Yuryevich Tarasov, Deputy head of the administration of the urban district Zhukovsky.
Andrey Bader, Member of the Board, Corporate Director, Nestlé Russia and Eurasia noted: “Nestlé’s total investment in the development and modernization of this factory currently amounts to more than 1.06 billion rubles. The successful introduction of innovative technologies allows us to produce the widest range of high-quality ice cream - about 50 items intended for consumers in Russia and the CIS countries. The creation of the new Froneri company will allow our factory to remain the growth engine in the future as part of the rapidly developing ice cream category.

This year we launched a new taste Extreme "Mint Chocolate" and Eskimo Sundae in cranberry juice. Today, Nestle confidently holds a leading position in the ice cream market with a share of about 20% in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the modern trade channel, according to Nielsen"- noted Galina Bogdanovich, Business Director, Nestle Ice Cream business in the Russia and Eurasia region.

Today, the factory has more than 450 employees, some of them since 1996. I am sincerely proud of the loyalty and well-coordinated work of our team and I’m sure that together we can reach even greater heights, " - noted Aigul Badrtdinova, Director of the Nestle ice cream factory in Zhukovsky.
At the end of the press conference, the guests visited the factory, where they could see with their own eyes how Nestle ice cream, so loved by millions of consumers, is produced.
