HOW IT'S DONE
Sizes 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44Length 45 cm.
YOU WILL NEED: Silk cambric 1.80 m wide 140 cm for all sizes; rubber veins for elastic assembly.
Recommended fabrics: light skirt fabrics.
Allowances: For seams and cuts - 1.5 cm, allowances for the lower cuts of frills are not provided.
CUT TO:
a) 2 details of the yoke 88–90–92–94–94–96–98–98 cm wide and 30 cm long, 15 cm in finished form;
b) 2 panels of a skirt 56–58–60–62–64–64–66 cm wide and 17 cm long;
c) 3 frills, each with a total length of 206−210−214−218−222−226 cm and a width of 13 cm.
SEWING
■ On the panels of the skirt, grind the side sections. On frills, sew, respectively, short sections. Iron the seam allowances.
■ Combine each frill to the width of the skirt. Stitch the lower frill to the lower cut of the skirt. Iron seam allowances up. Stitch the middle frill on the skirt at a distance of 7 cm above the seam of the lower frill. Sweep the upper frill to the upper section of the skirt.
■ Fold each part of the yoke to the half-side with the wrong side inward and iron.Spread the yoke details again.
From the seamy side of each part of the yoke, lay a rubber vein along the curved fold and sew it in a zigzag stitch, the ends of the rubber vein protrude from both sides. At the same time, the width of the stitch should correspond to the thickness of the rubber core so that the core lies inside the zigzag line and is not fixed by it, otherwise the assembly will fail.
The detail of the coquette is folded along the rubber vein in half with the wrong side inward. Sweep the side and bottom sections. On the wrong side of each part of the coquette, tailor's chalk draw another 11 lines for grinding rubber veins at intervals of 1.3 cm. Stitch rubber veins along the drawn lines in zigzag lines. Tighten the fabric on rubber veins so that the length of the elastic assembly is 28–30–32–34–36–36–38 cm. Tightly tie or sew the ends of the rubber vein.
■ On the yoke of the skirt, make side seams. Iron the seam allowances. Tighten the upper ends of the seam allowances obliquely and sew on.
■ Pin the yoke to the upper cut of the skirt, aligning the side seams. Sew a yoke while stretching. Unscrew seam allowances down.
