Biker style, in fact, never went out of style. But now he is on the rise again! We offer everyone who has a dusty old denim jacket to alter it by adding a leather or other detail.
The easiest way is to sew new sleeves on the old jacket, using as the pattern old ones that are loose from the jacket. Spread the seams of the sleeves for the pattern. You will not need cuffs - it is better to wrap the hem in and glue it.
For sleeves, you can take both thin knitwear and nappa leather or shiny lacquered fabric. Sleeves can be sewn neatly, as in our master class, or you can simply cut off the sleeves, leaving a little fabric around the sleeves along the seams of their stitching, and then turn the left narrow strip of sleeves into a fashionable fringe (MANGO).

And now in detail about how to turn an old denim jacket into a fashionable new biker-style jacket.
YOU WILL NEED Old denim jacket; leather (natural or artificial) size. OK. 2x 50x65 cm; textile glue for working with leather; threads for sewing.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK At the jacket, open the sleeves, then the cuffs and open the seams of the sleeves. Iron the allowances. Flatten the sleeves in the mirror image on the wrong side of the piece of leather and fix with several adhesive strips. On the bottom edge add the width of the cuff and 2 cm to the hem. Cut out the details.
Start the seams of the upper and ulnar parts of the sleeves (the seam width must be = the seam width on the jacket), at the bottom leave an open incision of approx. 8 cm. Lay allowances for hem and bottom allowances on top of the sleeve. Stitch the edges of the cut and the seam along the upper part of the sleeve to the edge and to a width of 7 mm; stitch across the end of the cut. Fill the seams of the sleeves, lay out the allowances in different directions, stick. Fold allowance inward and glue. Stitch the sleeves, stitch the armholes of the jacket into the seams of the stitching of the sleeves (at the old seams).
Tip: you can choose faux leather to match the color of your jacket, or decorate your jacket with large blocks, stripes, etc. to match the color of the sleeves.
