The assortment of fabrics in stores makes it difficult to choose only because you want to buy and sew everything at once. This is especially true of colored fabrics and fabrics with patterns. The imagination of the needlewoman instantly draws ready-made images that will be just from this fabric with charming flowers or toy cars. But in order not to spoil the beautiful fabric and your creative mood, and later the finished, stitched thing with love, you should know some simple rules for caring for the material.
Among the colored fabrics for children's clothing, choose the material with natural composition. The fact that children grow quickly is only in the hands of a colored item - it will not have time to lose color while the baby is wearing it.

Very often, bright printed fabrics give off excess color during the first wash. Therefore, before mixing bright natural fabrics, wash them in the machine with a minimum amount of soft powder, for example Children's tidewithout bleaching particles in the mode in which you will erase them in the future.
So that bright fabrics retain their color longer anddid not fade, add a tablespoon of vinegar to the machine and squeeze the thing at maximum drum speeds.
Do not leave colored things soaked and be sure to squeeze them well after hand washing, because the fabric sheds during the flowing of water!
The same goes forapplications, especially on white or bright things. Vivid applications can fade, keep this in mind when choosing fabrics for them. Natural fabrics shed more than synthetic ones, so for bright applications it is better to choose fabrics containing artificial (synthetic) fibers or checked and pre-washed cotton pieces.
