Fashion Week is the main event and the main core of the fashion industry. Twice a year, the best designers in the world determine the face of fashion for the upcoming season.
In 1994, Haute Couture Week was established, which brought together representatives of world-class fashion business in Moscow. Impressions haute couture held at the GKZ "Russia". In 2003, the event changed its format - the Week began to be held twice a year and presented ready-to-wear collections. In 2009, the project was called Volvo Fashion Week, and in 2013 it was again renamedMoscow Fashion Week.
This year the main event of the fashion industry will be held from March 29 to April 3 in Gostiny Dvor and mark his 20th anniversary. Fashion shows of the collection of famous couturiers and young talented fashion designers, as well as a rich business program - all this promises the audience in their 31st season Fashion Week in Moscow.
Spring Fashion Week in Moscow traditionally opens with a new collection of the fashion industry’s master - Valentin Yudashkin. Other successful Russian fashion designers - Victoria Andreyanova, Alexander Arngoldt, Masha Tsigal, Sergey Sysoev, Ilya Shiyan, Alina Assi, JOvanni, Daria Razumikhina, Vemina Fashion House and many others will present their vision of the fall-winter 2014/2015 fashion season to the general public .
Russian Fashion Week originates in the 2000s. In different seasons, the pavilions of Russian Fashion Week were located on Vasilyevsky Spusk, in TsPKiO im.Gorky, near the Central House of Artists, at the World Trade Center (WTC).
Since 2011, Russian Fashion Week changed its name toMercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. On February 9, 2011, the three-year agreement on the title partnership of the Mercedes-Benz brand with the Russian Fashion Week was officially signed. The first Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was held in Moscow from March 31 to April 5, 2011 at the WTC Congress Hall.
From March 27 to April 1, 2014 at Fashion Week Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Talented and creative designers present their collections of the fall-winter 2014–2015 season. The main venue was the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall (Manezhnaya Square, 1).
Designers showcase their collections: Alena Akhmadulina, Tatyana Parfenova, Bessarion, Igor Gulyaev, Dasha Gauser, Julia Dalakian, Ruban, Pirosmani by Jenya Malygina, Poustovit, Birykov, Tegin, Ester Abner, Zarina, Laroom, Olga Brovkina, Julia Nikolaev , Georgy Rushev, Ria Keburia, Yasya Minochkina, Litovskaya and many others.
The foreign program of Fashion Week traditionally retains the intrigue, but guarantees a visit to Moscow of no less vivid foreign participants than last season, which presented the opportunity to see collections of iconic brands in the Russian capital.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is held in Moscow twice a year - in March / April and October.
